Accessibility

We build keelfield.com to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We do not claim to have met it everywhere, and we want to hear from you when something does not work.

Last updated 9 August 2026

Our target

Our target for keelfield.com is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA. That is the standard we design and build to, and the one we measure ourselves against.

We are not claiming conformance. No independent auditor has assessed this site, and we will not use the word conformant until one has. This page says what is true now rather than what sounds better.

What is built in

These are decisions already in the code rather than intentions for later.

  • A skip link is the first thing you reach with a keyboard on every page, and it moves focus straight to the main content.
  • Every page has one main landmark, one level 1 heading, and heading levels that do not skip.
  • Focus is always visible. The focus outline is never removed, on any theme or any control.
  • Colour pairings are checked against the WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios before they are allowed into the design system, on both the dark and the light theme.
  • Body text never renders below 16 pixels.
  • Interactive controls are at least 44 by 44 pixels. Small buttons carry a larger invisible hit area rather than a smaller target.
  • If your system asks for reduced motion, transitions and animation are switched off across the whole site and you get the final state immediately.
  • Page content and the forms do not depend on JavaScript. Text, links, and form submission all work with it turned off.
  • Colour is never the only way information is conveyed, and nothing important is carried by an image of text.

What we have not verified

  • No independent accessibility audit has been carried out on this site.
  • We have not tested every pairing of screen reader, browser, and operating system.
  • The mobile navigation menu needs JavaScript to open. With JavaScript off, the footer links stay visible and reach every page.
  • We have not yet tested the site with speech input software or with screen magnification above 400 percent.

If you hit something in this list, or something not in it, section 05 is the fastest route to a person.

How we test

Contrast, keyboard order, focus visibility, and heading structure are checked while a page is being built. Colour tokens carry their measured contrast ratio in the source, so a failing pairing is caught before it ships.

Automated checks on every change, and a manual audit by someone who is not on the build team, are both planned and neither is finished. We will update this page when they are, with the date and who did the work.

Report a problem

Email accessibility@keelfield.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. This goes to a person, not a queue that nobody reads.

Telling us the following makes it much faster to fix.

  • The address of the page.
  • What you were trying to do when it went wrong.
  • The browser, operating system, and any assistive technology you were using.
  • What happened, and what you expected instead.

We will confirm we received your message and tell you what we plan to do about it. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will say so and give you another way to get what you needed.

If you need content another way

Ask us and we will send you the content of any page in another format, such as plain text by email. There is no charge and you do not need to explain why you are asking.

Third-party tools

This site currently loads no third-party interface components. If we add one later, such as a scheduling widget or a video player, we assess it against the same target before it ships and record any limitation on this page.

Forms on this site are our own markup. The service that receives a submission does not render anything to you.
